1. I think we all know the purpose...the "M" word.
2. Double standard? Eh I'd say no.
3. Yes, because porn is all about satisfying base carnal desires and pornstars will do any or all things with strangers (other P stars) while not requireing any caring to be displayed for them. It's their job to have sex and be what amounts to little more than a posable meat puppet, (an object).
4. Yes, just clips though, and only once in a while when I "feel the need"
5. Harmful? It's not a black and white answer. They can be if someone is obssessed with it and tries to coerse their real life partner into pornstar "values" and acts that the partner considers disgusting and objectifying.
Obviously there are some truly sick things/acts out there that I won't mention that are wrong and harmful to 99.999% of people.


I'll end it by saying that porn for the most part is fantasy IMO, designed to portray things that most normal people wouldn't do in real life. A guy will watch some girl getting (you know what'd) in an objectifying way yet that doesn't mean that is what he would want in his real life girlfriend. Porn is just fantasy, just a release of base carnal pleasures depicted in a purely objectifying way.

1. On the part of the viewer, to fulfill a carnal desire. On the part of the one being viewed, $$$. Yes, pornstars are whores.

2) Depends on the video, there is some stuff out there that is pretty degrading to men too....
3) I think it depends on the viewers point of view. In general I would say yes, given that their bodies can be downloaded for viewing like objects. However they do it of their own free will, so it is less clear than if they were say, forced to do so.
4) Yes. It is so easy its a joke. Once you find one site you have found them all, courtesy of www.google.com you can find ANYTHING you could imagine (or didnt want to imagine) on the internet.
5) If they take up too much time or take over a person's life then yes. They can also be harmful if they lead to unrealistic fantasies. Otherwise I think that they are relatively good ways for people to learn about sex and in some cases safe sex (think videos w/ condoms). I also think they can be helpful in keeping certain sexual behaviors or thoughts from becoming distracting in public.

I know you're doing this for English class, but in the interest of statistics, you should also ask for age, gender, and relationship status.. as those 3 elements will greatly effect the input you get.. also you should do this blinded.. ie: entrants cannot see the others responses..

I think the reason most women go into porno is because their parents (mainly dad) didn't give a f..k about them when they were growing up, so they're using porn as a way to finally "get their attention from the daddy they never had". How is being a pornstar "freeing yourself"?
