I found a pretty cool site featuring a bunch of WWII fanatics firing authentic guns. I like to look here often for reference, since I don't own an MG42 myself or anything, lol.

1) Go to: http://www.gunpics.net/

2) On the menu at the left, scroll down to "Movies"

SVT's, DP-27, G43's, Maxims.... yum. Not all are firing videos - many are "operation" videos showcasing reloading and other functions.

BTW, the owner of that site, Bas, is an RO fan and frequents the forums.

http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/member.php?u=551 , those are all from the same site I posted. But the problem with that site is that it has no bandwidth, so the saving process times out and the videos only partially dl.

Btw, anybody wanna share their experiences with shooting WWII guns? Like how it feels like, what you see around you, the recoil effects, etc. It'd be a nice point of reference.

wow great videos. I like the second video alot, I think it's something to look at when people wanna refer to realistic recoil and aiming views. Notice that you aren't really looking down ironsights. I hope they have something like that in the game in the future. (see shouldering gun)

Have you checked the head spacing for that M44? I know my M44 and M38 stick some when I fire 'hot' ammo, but nothing that severe.
