Im considering getting 3ds max 11

I also found that a UU = .75 inches from the UDK wiki.

You getting it for commercial use or Just Educational?

I would also recommend the 2012 version of 3ds Max Allot Better interface and allot better tools

As for the Max Units setup - I just followed the video above to set up my Unreal Units

ROs conversion is a little different it seems. 1uu=2cm according to Yoshiro

Remember that there is no scale conversion between 3d modeling software and the SDK, it doesn't care what units you use in Max for example. Like if you're using meter as the unit in Max, that one meter will still be 1 UU in the SDK.
