You may also have noticed that the website has been given a make over - check out our new 'Features' section where we will make available new details about the project in the coming weeks and months
We are also still require assistance in key areas. If you are interested in helping work on In Country Vietnam check our jobs board for what is available. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sorry for the delay in the news but we are working on a new teaser trailer that I hope you guys will like
Why you don't implement the songs in choppers/bases anyway but release it with blank ini files. I mean - you just make the coding but let the users to play their songs by simply put the song into some folder and then edit the .ini to add the name of that song so the game will play it in-game You will not break any license and still will make the people happy to play any song they wantSomething we've discussed in the past on the ICV forums.. although we obviously would LOVE to do that.. since we're a non-profit/non-paid mod.. there's pretty much zero money for licensing songs..
Before anyone says 'you are just a mod.. use it anyway', keep in mind we are content producers ourselves and aiming for a professional-level product; that means having (distribution) rights to everything we offer up.
Very nice detailed models, however vast majority of AK used in Vietnam were Type 3 and some Type 2 with milled receiver of Russian Izhevsk manufacture and Chinese made Type 56 with milled receiver also which are different with a closed front sight hood and permanently attached underfolding spike bayonet. This pictue shows obviously a Chinese type AKM with stamped receiver a closed front sight hood and 2 features are not correct, there should be dimples or receses on both sides of the magazine well and the bolt cover should be ribbed and stamped on the AKM.
1000x this. On the website you can put up a "song suggestion" list and someone from the community will inevitably put up a .rar download of that list that can just be copied and pasted into the game files. Why you don't implement the songs in choppers/bases anyway but release it with blank ini files. If I understand the question correctly. We have modeled the Type-56. Our 360 render and dev blog give a better view of it.

We based this on numerous high-res references from Type-56's from the Vietnam War. If however you spot any inaccuracies and you have conflicting references then post them in our forum or here and we will fix it (if it's wrong)
Also our SKS is almost done, we are fixing a few details from our original model that was a heavy work in progress. I'll let you know when it's complete
For those who are interested we have updated our weapons and vehicles pages with a few more interactive 360
Vehicle page seems to be locked.
Weapons look great, nice idea with that 360
