Although I have heard the japanese were kind of crazy with their banzai attacks, so I guess you could say they get away with it, just. I believe there was an official mod for the japanese MG that added a bayonet as they did these infantry charges. I do support what you are saying, it far more war like and adds to the environment and experience overall to have MG's used like proper MG's especially in european theatre.
Did they Russians use any other Mg's during the war?(or battle mind you)
RO2 has brought me back to WWII games, so I've been playing a lot of WaW. The most hilarious part is the PTRS. Did it even have a scope in real life? Now try going around no scoping with that .
2.DShK-Heavy mg first deployed in 38 fired the 12.7x108mm and was highly effective using the mobile tripod http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DShK_1938
OMG what level do you get the Hubba Bubba at!?!?!

First you unlock the HUbba Bubba but its a seperate weapon which you have to switch to use, but when you unlock the strap its on your DP28 and when you press "6" you use it without switching Weapon...
It's time to kick *** and chew bumble gum.
I was really really bored.

That's too much for the germans to handle! the hubba bubba clearly makes this weapon overpowered

You first have to combine 3 refined metals with a Jarate and an RO2 Russian Hat.
Indeed. The Type 99 LMG did indeed have a bayonet attachment point.Bowcaster, I don't know if you were being sarcastic with the realism comment, but there really is a japanese machine gun that has a bayonet. It's called the type 99 light machine gun.
