Well, we knew we were good... after making the PC Gamer Top 100 Games of all time, we now have Red Orchestra 2 in as PC Gamer's "First-Person Shooter of the Year (Multiplayer)". Read about it over on the PC Gamer website: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/02/08/pc...r-awards-2012/. We're happy about it, to say the least!

And lo, IS-2 said only RO2 could be chosen, and it was, and there was much rejoicing.

Awesome. Was missing RO2 on a lot of best-of-2012 lists, but this makes up for it!
![]() In a couple years time when the masses have moved on from CoDblops and BF3 for the next 150m$ marketing budget game the hardcore will still be playing RO2! |

RO2 still has its issues, quirks, and problems... but that's because Tripwire sought to be innovative and revolutionary instead of recycling the same game over and over again *cough*. There were many, many new features in RO2, many ambitious changes, many original ideas.
Checking ammunition, setting weapon sights, switching from the scope to iron sights, three separate reload animations for the G41, fully modeled interiors of tanks, first-person cover system, suppression... That's a much longer list than 'prone' and 'new weapons'. Red Orchestra 2 still needs work... but in my opinion it deserves the award for having the balls to take great risks, even if not all of them paid off.
