Console XP level progression not saving (Xbox One S)

Played a game roughly an hour ago where I reached level 16 as gunslinger. Back on the main menu I'm back to level 15 and exactly where I started the match. This bug/glitch seems to rear its head every so often. Definitely my least favourite.

I have observed this problem as well with some of my lobby teammates. I can see them levelling up throughout the game and when the game ends and we go to a new map, their perk reverts to an earlier level.

Just checked and looked on Twitch streams - PC and PS4/5 progression is not affected.

It seems to be working normally again. Oddly enough I have heard people say that the missing XP was eventually credited back in one lump sum afterwards.

I didn’t think that the game was able to do that (from previous occurrences of this bug)

I just started the game and I'm back at level 16, with over 2000XP. Seems to have fixed itself and delivered all the accrued XP back in one chunk as you've experienced.

I think this the second time I've posted about this bug and it corrects itself almost immediately...

Nope, seems to have cured itself.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear it.
XP is stored via cloud saves on Xbox so if someone has a bad connection to Xbox Live it could result in this behavior. It's possible Xbox live was having some temporary issues.
