Level Design [WIP] WF-GareMaritime_Cherbourg

This is a work in progress thread, and probably will only be pictures of well pictures, rulers, protractors, pencils, notes, maybe a photo map (and probably a **** ton of coffee..), and sketches for the next week or two. To get you started here's about a ream's worth of printed photos. Took about 45-60 minutes to print out, along with the fear of the printer catching on fire...
(will post photos later...)
To give you an idea of how many photos this is if you were to lay them all out they would equal in area to 42,000 sq feet, and for the civilized world 3,900 square meters.
After that you'll seem some actual images, of a very detailed BSP environment. The interior of the station is largely not photographed or recorded, so I might have to use my imagination a bit for the interior.

Before I can start on this, I have to finish something that Lemonater and BloodMalice (and a few others, but if I told you who they were you'd probably know immediately what I was working on...) requested.

Been really busy so not much progress.
Any and all progress has been me organizing and laying out notes, photos, and the like on a wall... :D
Not sure if people want a photo of that?
I mean I could take a picture of it...
I've been going back and forth between totally annihilated Gare Maritime vs a damaged look (Think of it more like a few damaged structural supports, and debris and such on the ground, but still intact.) I think I'm keeping with my original idea, which was the latter of the two.

That's what it's all about, don't expect a map to take less than 100 hours, this one is a several month long project, probably 125-250 hours until it's done.
I mean I'm still waiting on twrecks on this:

Which was started in 2013, and picked up again early last year (so it's been in development for 18 months on and off).
He's busy so I'm setting this up in the meantime.
Easily spent 200+ hours on just the art & environment for that map.

No, feel free to take a look at my 400ish photos (I have a link somewhere....) that's a view from the one of the drydocks on the left side of the avant port de commerce.
In red is where the picture you found is, this in yellow is the area of the map:

And here's a WIP:

Assets I've finished converting to meshes, that need a makeover by a modeler:

Final conversions of some BSP to static meshes, I'll get some screenies of pre-alpha gameplay (minus a lot of the cover, that has to be added in) in a few days...

The office wall is based off existing meshes, just modified to be modular, now 128x144x8 uu. (Original was 7.72 x 80 x 151 uu). Destroyed version was something I cooked up.
