Turn on/turn up sound of tank engines

Just like the topic title says.

Most of the time when I am in a tank, I cannot even hear the tank engines and if I do notice them at all, they are extremely quiet. I do hear the sounds of the tracks clanking, but without the engine sound it just sounds like someone clicking some tongue depressors together.

You lose a lot of the immersion factor because of this when in a tank and that is a shame because of everything else that was done to make tanking a good experience.

Is this a bug? Is it designed this way?

They sound loud enough to me, but only when they actually play as they're supposed to.

So many sounds have wrong volume in the game. Ever threw a grenade around a corner? I never hear it explode.


It went so far that we now have the improved immersion overhaul (we're fixing our own problems, cause tripwire can't be bothered).

You're better off giving suggestions for IOM. Let's hope it becomes popular.

If there is some topic that feels like beating a dead horse is asking devs to fix the issues and shortcomings with tanks since day1

They did fix the worst of of getting stuck/rubberbanding but more still remain. Wobbling and the new ROLE SELECTION being some of the worst.

Those sounds are so weird, HE shells still MISS THE EXPLOSION SOUND!?!?!! + you can barely hear the engine, if at all.

The tank sounds are the only sounds I think need improving, especially the cannons and engine.

Tank sounds always have been terrible, firing that gun does not sound like you are firing that big gun, even RO ostfront sounded better.

Yes the tanks do sound like they are soundproofed. You shouldn't be able to hear people running around outside.
I just imagine we are in an alternate reality where they used electric tanks.

I get the feeling health and safety crept in here as all the sounds in ro2 sound tame,don't want to damage peoples hearing with sudden bangs sort of thing.

Aye. But I think it sounds the same as it does from outside the tank.
