Oh and PB doesn't like Wireless connections as I found out, and I just recently moved my computer desk so I could hook it directly to my modem..... no more drops or Speed Hack Detected warnings..... though those all stopped anyways when my wife stopped downloading things on the laptop

Remove the D from Draper, that may be why.

I always get kicked for speed hacking, Im pretty sure it's punkbuster doing it, my ping is never usually that bad either.

I haven't really seen any kiddie behaviour on the server myself, I'd stomp it out if I did!

That was why I winked just having some fun mate, its all good!


You missed a night or two ago, some kiddies were constantly making weird noises though voip or having some political debating thing going on I not sure what they were on about.

Why have they recently implemented punkbuster onto those two servers? Consequently, I can't join the servers and effectively can't play multiplayer at all!

In my honest opinion, and I'm sure many will agree, it was much better overall for the servers not to use Punkbuster.

Could we change it back?

Looks like I've lost another game to Punkbuster.

I only occasionally played on those servers as they had no PB, I've now added them to my Favourites and they will be my number one destination. I've not had any problems with PunkBuster, I've even used the Steam Overlay on Red or High level PunkBuster servers and have never been kicked or had any other issues.

As others have asked, what exactly is the issue you're having with PunkBuster?

Does not do it on medium punkbuster security servers. It is a pain to be honest.

The "speed hack detected" has nothing to do with PunkBuster, it was implemented by TWI.

Interestingly, I have to take the 'pb' folder of of the game directory, because with it in, the game runs at max 3 FPS! That too happened with Bad Company 2. I think my computer has some 'access denied' and administrative issues, since my school messed around with it and put it on their network type thing.

This is most likely the cause of your issues. Is the computer you're using at school connected to their network? If it is then you'll need to talk to the I.T. Guy or Computer Teacher about getting the PnkBstrA.exe being excluded from being blocked. It also sounds like the security they have is stopping other PB files from functioning correctly.

If this is a laptop you use at school and take home (Government issued?), then it may be something you're using at home. It will be either an Anti-virus, Firewall or security software in your Modem/Router.

turn off your steam overlay in your game options in the steam library.
