Thinking of getting Red Orchestra 2 - But what about the update to Rising Storm

Long Story short...

only just got back into PC gaming after a 5 year stint away from it, last login to the forums was 06/04/2009!!!

I want to but Red Orchestra 2 but i know the expansion pack Rising Sun is due anytime and i don't want to pay twice...

is there any deals on steam that will get me the expansion pack cheap

Here's the story:

Rising storm will come out this year in all likelihood. My own guess is 6-8 months more. It will be discounted to ALL players who own RO2.

The people that just buy Rising Storm will also get the RO2 multiplayer content so they'll still be able to play RO2.

RO2 is heavily discounted right now (less than $5):

I would just get RO2 and then Rising Storm. However, you should know that even if you do not buy Rising Storm you will still be able to play it. This is because servers will be running RO2 and RS maps side by side. Most likely that RO2 players who do not buy RS will only be able to play as riflemen or something like that.
