The Bayonet

Is there any kind of official test somewhere that shows the effects shooting with/without a bayonet mounted?

I'm having a hard time believing something like that could affect the weapon's accuracy.



It's not that hard to believe, really. Ever hear of free-floating a barrel? It's the same principle. Anything in contact with the barrel will change the harmonics. It's not so much that it changes the accuracy, so much ... it's still going to be accurate, it's just that the point of aim will be different. Most of the time you should group just as well, just not in the same place.

But, no, not that I know of there's not any kind of official documentation on this. But, if you have one, you can go to the range and slap it on a bench and try it out for yourself.
