For what it's worth I am of the opinion that the suppression effects would be great if they were VARIED!
Let's take for example the suppression effects from Project Reality, ROOST, and Darkest Hour, and then either depending on the circumstances (where the bullet lands, what weapon is being fired, the range of the attacker, the stamina of the suppression receiving player etc..) or perhaps just randomly, you could use different effects on the fly...
To always have the exact same characteristics of suppression be represented the same way every time you receive fire will only serve to immunize and bore the players in that aspect of the game.
