Server SteamCMD wont download

Im trying to make a KF Server again with Steam CMD, but all of a sudden when I try to install the steamcmd packages, it just gives me the "Steam needs to be online to update" error.
I've already tried the IE tricks to bypass it, but it didn't work at all.
I actually never had this happen to me and now I don't know what to do :/

I tried to install Steam CMD on 2 different computers through 3 different networks and never got it to work

Are you sure it's not being blocked by the firewall?

Go manually add an entry in your firewall. I'm assuming you're only using Windows Firewall... some people think they need more than one and I just wanted to clarify that. If you're running more than one then you'll need to manually make an entry for both firewalls, even if you think one is disabled.

download steamcmd from official valve website, the one which TWI posted in thei Wiki doesn't work (well if you are using linux and via ssh)

If using Linux, which the OP isn't because they mentioned changing Internet Explorer settings which is a Windows program.

However, anyone else reading this who utilizes Linux I highly recommend installing using this script.

Hands down the best method for installing Killing Floor on Linux. (as well as a bunch of other games his scripts support)

Well, even though I dont have linux and all that, I can confirm that this somehow worked for me even though I did get it from the site. Then again im lazy when it comes to reinstalling.
