Same thing has been occurring since the release of RO2. Though in RO2 my entire PC freezes and the game crashes after a couple minutes.

Think its related to sound, I use an Asus Xonar DX soundcard and none of the sound-related fixes, such as changing to 16bit or vice versa does not fix it, nor lowering/raising soundchannels ingame.

System Specifications

Gigabyte GTX 680 2GB- GPU
Intel i5 2500K 4.2GHz- CPU
GSkill RipjawsX 8GB 1600MHz- RAM
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3- Motherboard
Corsair TX 650W- Powersupply

Same thing used to occur even with a 5850 and a 7950, so its not GPU related. And even with CPU at stock or on a fresh install of Windows 7/8.

Even if it would "solve" the problem, it wouldnt solve the problem.
The problem might be with the devs not liking asus in any way or unreal engine conflicting with asus, however I had no issues in any other UE3 based game.

And with realtek everything sounds terrible, and realtek can barely drive a 100ohm headphone, and why would I make that compromise, unplugging the soundcard everytime I wish to play RO2 or Rising Storm? I paid for both games and I expect to be able to play them both without issues.

I answered you, thus no need for "okay if you dont want to answer me" ;)

Youre telling me, you wouldnt mind unplugging your soundcard from the case everytime you want to play a specific game?

It is the developers job to fix these kind of issues, we, the consumers, shouldnt have to compromise.
Its one reason RO2 was such a joke, they didnt take any issues seriously until months later, and then it was too late really. They better step up and fix these kind of issues, I paid for a game I obviously expect to play, but I cant if the game will freeze the PC or cause sound issues.

Rising Storm is still in beta, it would be valuable information for us if you could check if the Axus Xonar soundcard is causing the issue. If everybody with that soundcard is having the same issue, then we could investigate said issue in house.

Rising Storm is in beta, and not all hardware and software configurations necessarily play nice with it. So if we can find out if something is incompatible with Rising Storm its important to know so we can attempt to fix it.

can you try something for me (at your own risk though :p)

Does this method work for you:

I know its for a different soundcard, but the issue could be similar, might give some insights.

Rising storm has no such file.

I ran memtest and its all ok, and cleared CMOS again to stock, so its not hardware related.
And there have been people with realtek too that had similar issue.

I just had a hardfreeze today, with soundlooping in background, had to reboot PC completely via power button.

I read here that its punkbusters fault? Lmao cause I have no issues in other PB games.

Heres another but realtek apparently

Heres one stating it might be related to the 6 series Nvidia cards?

Alot of people apparently.

A fix here apparently, not sure if it does work but

Hopefully it does, temporarily, til you guys, fix it.

Rising Storm by default has no such file but you can place the file there, if you place a dll next to an exe of a game your system will use that dll instead of the systems default. (very handy as well if you have for instance graphics issues with a certain driver just put the old drivers dll, and then for a single game you use the older driver :p)

Regarding the geforce 6 series Nvidia released a driver a bit ago with a specific RO2 fix noted in that do you happen to run that driver or a more newer one.

Sounds like a punk buster issue. Had the problem with Realtek audio not liking it. So I stopped playing on PB servers and it stopped stuttering and crashing.
