RO2 Small artillery 'overhaul' idea

Right now, the only thing anyone ever uses is Artillery, because its respective counterparts (rockets and mortars) are just useless in comparison except in very, very extreme and rare cases when rockets may be more useful (but even then, artillery can still suffice)

This is my small suggestion for a slight artillery system overhaul, I realise this may not please everyone so constructive criticism is most welcome.

Mortars

A smaller barrage than what it is now, that is intended for the sole purpose of clearing out a small fortified position, that is, perhaps a small enemy squad, or an Anti tank or MG position. It would consist of a tighter cluster of mortar shells in perhaps only one or two salvos, with a cooldown independent of artillery and rockets.

Heavy Mortars

A POSSIBLE candidate to replace the Artillery function on maps that otherwise did not offer Artillery, but instead offered the mortar barrage we see today. Could exist in conjunction with my previously suggested mortar idea so that both could be utilized in a game. Heavy Mortars would function as mortars do in the current version of the game (kind of like a smaller artillery barrage).

Artillery

Largely unchanged, but of course if you have any suggestions regarding the artillery feature then here is the place to post them.

Rockets

A 'constant' barrage, that is it fires constantly during it's duration and could be used as an effective area denial tool. Let's say a rocket barrage lasted 50 seconds, it would fire maybe 1 or 2 shells a second, in a sporadic unpredictable pattern (in terms of time between individual shells fired) over a moderate area. The shells themselves would do less overall damage (splash included) than Artillery shells, but would be firing constantly, therefore can be used as an area denial tool. Of course different suggestions are welcome.

Another small suggestion, rather than just simply marking an Artillery marker on the map, SLs should be able to mark a target as well as a specific artillery strike that they want, that is Mortars, Artillery or Rockets. Icons could be (respectively) a Mortar piece, Artillery piece and a Rocket, to indicate to the commander what sort of fire support the squad leader is requesting.

Mortars are very useful when you want to interdict or saturate a small area while still being able to maneuver in close. Howitzers cover a wider area with lots more random saturation making it risky to get in close. Rockets are great for removing stubborn resistance regardless of cover. Go into spectate mode from above and you will see the pros and cons.
