RED ORCHESTRA MODS ON STEAM NOW

Red Orchestra MODs will be the first third party game MODs to be made available through Steam. And just to celebrate, Tripwire is reducing the price 75% to $4.99 until Monday 20th October.

Roswell, GA, October 17th, 2008 - Tripwire Interactive is pleased to announce that select MODs created for Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 are now available free of charge directly through Steam to all owners of the popular World War II themed online action title.

The first MOD released, Mare Nostrum, allows players to experience some of the fiercest battles of WWII across North Africa and Italy. The MOD adds three new nationalities to the game including the British, Australians and Italians as well as adding the German Afrika Korps. Featuring 8 new maps, 8 new weapons and 10 vehicles the game play is varied from gritty street to street fighting in urban surroundings to all out tank warfare in the open desert.

To celebrate all this

The Mare Nostrum team owes a HUGE debt of gratitude to Tripwire for their support and hard work over the past two weeks. TWI has worked tirelessly to shepherd Mare Nostrum through this process. While indeed, Valve made this possible, so did TWI and the many volunteer devs that have given generously of their time during the past two years. I can only speak for myself, but Mare Nostrum has exceeded my wildest dreams. There were certainly some difficult days on the road to today, but maybe that helps explain why today tastes so sweet. ;)

Here they go again. Why do they keep doing this??? Look next time know in advance that you are going to lower the damn price::mad::mad::mad:

They do this all the time and when everyone gets off the weekend and tells folks they work with the sale is over. Either drop the price permanently or at least put at least a week advance on the weekend that they are going to do this...

Many people do not talk with folks they work with or have contact information while on their weekends and then comes Monday and the sale is over and many people miss out on the purchase. If you'd give a week advance that a 5.00 weekend is coming you'd probably sale hundreds if not thousand more.
