Windows will say that if a program is maxing out drive I/O or causing insane disk thrashing. That's what I'm seeing here; when the game hangs at the splash screen my drive is getting hammered and disk usage is maxed out.If you check the task manager while the splash screen is loading, you'll see ROGame.exe as Not Responding several times. This may have something to do with the long splash screen.
No, the issue is not with the intro movies playing, which I've already disabled. It's with the game hanging at the splash screen for ages. It didn't happen before the GOTY update.Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config\ROEngine.ini

With Win 8 you can do more then defrag. With SSDs you can optimize and use TRIM command for performance and life of drive.Probablynot "news" to most of you guys, but you DO defrag etc, right? (not SSD guys)
