Possible music player?

I have noticed that in the gameplay videos is that the start of each round shows the name of the song and the artist displayed on the top right corner of the screens in the HUD.

Does this mean we can make custom playlists and listen to our own music in game? that would be so much better then replacing the .ogg's in the game files back in KF1.

I almost forgot about the music player function in steam. heh. but if it does have its own music player or can be work with Steam's player, i think being able to choose which song or tracklist that plays on waves, intermissions and boss attacks would be awesome.

Now that would be awesome! Not to take away from the soundtrack we've already heard, which is really awesome, but that would be a fun way to let players incorporate some extra tracks of their own into the mix!

I always appreciate it when devs try to allow for a player's music in their games.

The in game music has never bothered me. If I really want to listen to something specific I usually pull up Spotify while I play.

I think you've probably hit the nail on the head there. I haven't seen many applications that have made use of Steams integrated music player, maybe KF2 will be the first to take advantage of it.

I don't think Steam's API lets games use the Steam music player to play songs at particular moments. It would be a great feature if it did though.
