I've noticed that different servers have different settings for how much of an imbalance is allowed. Some servers enforce a maximum one man difference between sides, whereas others set the limit higher.
I've also noticed that, on most maps, people tend to prefer the American side. I have an untested theory that non-RS owners would strongly prefer the American side, seeing as (usually) it means a Garand over an Arisaka.
It seems like a pretty big consolation to people who own HoS but not RS that they're allowed into the game with just the rifleman class. What if servers were allowed to force these people to use the "auto-select" feature and maybe allow more leeway for RS-purchasers? It would balance the servers a little better and prioritize giving RS-purchasers a chance to play as the more popular team.
