Friends,

Just getting back in to RO after a lengthy lay-off playing Darkest Hour.

My problem is that when I run RO I do not see any servers listed. When I click refresh the message "Querying Master Server" is shown and after a short while another message "Query Complete Received 119 servers" However no servers are shown.

I know this appears to be a common problem. I have tried following the advice here: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=7282 about deleting the *.ucl files but the problem remains.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Regards

Ian

I had a similar problem not to long ago, The fix was easy. I opened up my steam window and pulled up my library of games. In my library of games I right clicked on Red Orchestra and one of the options was to back up files or check mismatched files or something to that effect. I clicked on it and did a quick scan and found I had some missing or corrupt files. It fixed them in a few minutes and no problems now.

Same here. I do not see any servers at all, only a "Querying Master Server" message. I followed this post as well with no results: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=7282.

I also verified my game file integrity and still shows nothing. I would like to try this game out, but, it seems I can not.

I hope the new RO game is not like this.

If it stays on "Querying master server" then the game cannot connect to the master server at all. Make sure that it is allowed through your firewall. Does the news show up in the news page?

If the search is returning servers but you can't see them then check your filters - chances are that they need resetting, and the reason that no servers are shown is because they are all being filtered out by whatever rules are present.

Looks like Steam are performing some maintenance again...no servers on the in-game browser here either, although they are visible in the Steam browser.

edit: re-started Steam, and all the servers have re-appeared.
Perhaps they changed the master servers ip., so you may need to log out of the old master server then you will be re-connected to the new one.

After deleting the files did you verify your files again?

Try starting up RO in a windowed mode just to check and see if your firewall is putting up any messages. Or try deleting the Steam and RedOrchestra.exe exceptions in your firewall and re-enter them.

Try not filtering your servers at all. (there really aren't any populated non-vac RO servers that I know of. And iirc, its easy enough to tell if they are vac protected in the server list.)

Just some thoughts and ideas......

Alternatively try using the Steam server browser and joining through there, or a web server browser like http://www.gametracker.com/search/ror/ - get the IP address of the server, open the console with ' or ` and type "open x.x.x.x:xxxx" without quotes, where the x.x.x.x:xxxx is the IP address and port number - or try saving some servers to your favourites and see if that works.
