Well I have no personal experience on the Luger, though I have on the P1 (the post-war P38). But from what I gathered they are so close that the variations between individual examples of the same gun is more than that between both guns. And among collectors' the Luger is said to be more accurate due to tighter tolerances of the slide and the finer trigger. That is the gun's own accuracy: The accuracy achieved by your average shooter is supposed to be even better with the Luger due to the comfortable grip position absorbing more of the recoil.

As i said before in the thread: The Luger P08 was in service from 1908 till 1945. So it will certainly be in it!
This might just be cause for a "Would still buy RO if there wasn't a luger?" thread. Or not.
