Level Design No blood splatter?

Hopefully this will be my last question regarding the SDK..

In my map blood splatters do not generate on my meshes (using MIC textures). The only "external" things that show are grenade explosions (those black marks) and bullet holes. To elaborate some, I am talking about the blood that gushes out of gibs that create those huge pools of blood that makes KF2 oh so great looking. I am curious if anyone else has ran into this problem or knows a potential fix.
 
We started to port BioticsLabs and had the same problem. We had to make everything in Maya and make the UVs there. I think UDK is not able to generate a proper UV map for a big mesh as there are many things to consider.
