new error

I just re downloaded it, now i am updating, gah that takes so long

My Runtime error started the SECOND time I tried to start the game. The first time I was able to play fine. I have tried backing up the files and reinstalling the game from the backup and a total redownload and install. Neither of these worked.

HELP!

What does a Runtime error even mean? Never gotten one before.

BuddyLee's method fixed the same problem for me too.

Uninstall Steam and RO - defrag run CCleaner reinstall and off you go.

It's a right pain in the a@@ especially trying to download ALL of RO on Easter Sunday on overloaded Steam servers, but hey, It DID fix the problem.

Try Defragging the HD before uninstalling though it might save you a load of time.
