New crysis video!

It will actually infact be playable on Dx9 tech and that Dx10 will just have added features and with improved FPS or so is said.....

Crysis: new screenshots and preview
Everything you've seen has been running on DX9 and normal hardware you can get in the shops right now. It's all normal spec and doesn't even use a dual processor or anything like that, we don't have any special graphical hardware inside these boxes. However, with DX10 and a dual core CPU, you're going to see something very special indeed.

When we compare Far Cry to Crysis we're talking about two to three levels better in terms of generations, but if you compare DX 9 to DX10 it's at least a generation better, so there's a tangible difference, visually as well as from the intensity.

The game is currently set for a Q1 2007 release, which means somewhere between 1 January and 31 March, though Crytek has said they do not have to wait for Vista, which won't be available to consumers until January anyway. It seems that while DX10 will add Shader Model 4 effects (assuming you have the next next-generation ATI or NVIDIA hardware that supports it), it won't be a requirement.

As for the game, I'm put off for now until I see how the gameplay actually is and not just a graphics game like Far Cry that bore me to death after ten minutes of play after gunning down enemy after enemy...

great engine they have but it's gonna be spoiled with arcade gameplay.
Aliens and bull****.
"Technology is wasted on the young and stupid" or something like that. It's always cutting edge engines with the same old BS gameplay a 9 year old would conjure up. Yeah someone make an arcade shooter where 1 guy decimates an entire force of half retarded enemies with the latest high tech weaponry. Pretty please, there's a major shortage of those games we desperately need more ASAP!!!!..... OR you could make a REALISTIC game WITH the latest cutting edge engine and have something that would be utterly astonishing in its mimickry of reality. But no, Let's continue to take the low road of pandering to 10 year old kids with ADD and the brainpower of a stoned hamster and their mommies purses. A big WHATEVER! is all I can conclude.

...realistic? Please explain this "realism" you speak of.
You know stuff like ONE GUY NOT being able to single handedly take down an entire division of hapless well equiped techno-mercenaries. Or NOT being able to punch a building to pieces, HEALTH powerups, RADAR, BBgun recoil, crosshairs, unrealistic abilities etc etc etc. The concept is about as stale as a 20 year old loaf of bread.

Did you get a leaked copy of the Crysis dev document? Where is your evidence in support of these assertions?

Also, you can't use the word "unrealistic" in a definition of Realism.
