Possibly for a train since this looks like it's about the Underground? It says "x" seconds in description so 60 is a guess just based on the stopwatch.

Access to a certain location maybe or possibly just a part of the regular objective playthrough

Kill 250 zeds during welding
---
Probably a portion of the objective map where you need to weld a certain door as part of the objective but also get attacked by zeds. Kill 250 during this time to unlock (bonus money may be given like in the beginning part of Steamland as well?)

Destroy DNA vials
---
Find "x" of DNA vials and destroy them? (similar to gnomes)

Unlock Ms. Clamley by completing all necessary achievements

There's two descriptions left which this could be: "playwithorasballhero" or "destroydnavials". Since the first already has a "1" next to it in my stat feed, I'm going to say this is probably not the case. The second one can be something like Destroy D. Navials, or Destroyed Navials. Maybe some sort of unique boss fight for this objective mode map?

The "Playwithorasballhero" was an achievement for Hell. You had to win a short game on Hell playing as or having one of your teammates playing as one of the Harchier Spebbington skins.

Some one mentioned BLOAT earlier. Maybe THIS place is where the Bloats are "infused" as a weapon of Mass Eruption ?!

In any event.... A siren as a ScreamTender?

I could see a Screamer taking over a Bask-in-Robbings or some other ISCREAM Palace...But Beer?

There are 4 versions of each of these (map-)achievements (normal-, hard-, suicidal- and hoe-difficulty)

2 "Find/destroy/etc-a-specific-amount-of-something-on-specific-map" (like for example "Soul Collector"):

Something like "Wield-250-doors":

3 achievements that I... don't have a clue about...:

(First one maybe "Spent-specific-amount-of-dosh" and third one "Finish-*-under-specific-amount-of-time" or "play-*whatever-map(s)*-for-at-least-*specific-amount-of-time*"?...)

Maybe one new character to unlock:

Interestingly the pictures of none of these achievements do show an event-specific-watermark in the bottom left corner (like for example "Mrs. Punkd"):

So this / there will be no traditional event, like for example "Summer Sideshow" ...??

I see we get new songs
FinalBattle01, Peace, Medium. All of which have a number with them, so thats like 12 new songs?

That int file is literally the only thing that was released if anyone wants to know

A map name Transit? Come on TWI, as someone who plays CoD Zombies (Tranzit), it seems like the recent updates just reminds me of that game. I hope this Transit (Butcher Street) isn't the Objective map and at lease will not feature a bus.

I would LOVE a castle theme map.

The key is probably one of those given achievements.

Does the welder still cause friendly fire lol.

OK, I think I know why. If you set an exact date, and then are not ready on that date, fans get pissed. OR, if you release on your set date and the product is buggy as hell, fans get pissed.

So you don't wanna screw over fans with a product that sucks or is incomplete like certain triple A makers do...

... still wish that damn thing was out though.

Its for a marketing - hype up the users.

It stirs interest, and then word of mouth, and that can induce more sales. Just about any business does the same.

Think of it as a surprise. A present your not supposed to open - or shake - until a particular day.

It gives you a few more days to clear off any pressing issues to make room for more game time.


I think it will be released on the 3rd. The name of the map, a name which instills partying, would mean that its celebratory in nature, and why not give part of the world, mainly the USA the Summer Event over a long weekend, so gamers can burn the midnight oil and get a few, if not all the achievements done in quick fashion.

not to whine but checking every day to see if the event with the update will be out and it not being there kills more hype for me than it generates. I know this is my own fault, but without a set date but a vague announcement this is what ends up happening to me and friends. slowly going towards the point of 'eh whatever', which kinda happened with christmas and last halloween as well.

KF doesnt need to generate hype, it has half a decade of a fanbase.

All Summer sideshows take place during July, last year started on the 5th, the year before that was the 2nd and before that was June 30th.
As you noticed, we are getting farther away.
So obviously a date is either this or early next week.

Sometimes it is tricky to know an exact date early on, since we have to work with people at Steam to fit into their schedule.
That can involve all kinds of events, sales, releases from lots of studios, et cetera. It is a little like air traffic control.

Normally, if we have a clear date, there is little reason to not share it.

We're not featuring the summer sideshow ZEDS in this update but they're not forgotten.

The icons should be trickling down through steam in the next few minutes. We can't put them up early or people will ruin the surprises!

The update is already there - still warm from the oven. For some reason, the acheivo icons and text take a little time to propagate. You should see text in minutes, icons in hours.
