KF2 cant launch

reinstalled all drivers on the newest. When i am trying to launch the game, it says first " installing *****.exe file, step 1 of 1 " or something like that, then it just disappears like i never tryed to launch the game.

Having same problem. Reinstalled 2 times...verified cache. Try to launch game but nothing happens.

Me too, I installed latest drivers and everything and tried delete config from my documents/..., verify integrity, run everything as administrator and nothing

I think i found the fix. run it as admin from the steam directory... the KFGame.exe it wont launch from the library

I just want to thank you, thats worked for me.
Easy fix: just close steam, run steam as administrator then the game will start fine

I have done it millions of times and it still doesnt launch

You need to launch it from here "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\Binaries\Win64" run the KFGame.exe..(As Admin) if that doesn't work reinstall the game and try it again it will work i tried it on every version of windows 7, 8.1, 10 (build 10049) they all work.

i have reinstalled the game 3 times and run exactly this file in steam directory millions of times with admin rights, it simply does not launch.

Are you running 32 bit windows by any chance? there is no 32bit architecture for this game yet.

Same issue, won't launch for me, tried over a hundred different solutions. Every other game runs fine.

I have the same issue - have tried all the suggested fixes (video driver reinstall, run installers in redist folder, run game from folder as admin).

RO2 Game Crashes have contained the line

[0000.41] DevDataBase: Connection to "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=production-db;Initial Catalog=EngineTaskPerf;Trusted_Connection=Yes;Conn ection Timeout=2" or "10.1.20.20" failed

also without solution. Is there some significance to this 10.1.20.20 error?

Issue solved for me - whilst I tried multiple things... it seemingly worked after I changed Killing Floor to run on my GT 755M (which I thought was default but apparently not) instead of integrated graphics card. I should have checked earlier...

For anyone who is still struggling - check that if you haven't already.
