How are riflemen going to be balanced?

I know that these were rare and produced late, but they could be used to balance it out because this is a Japanese semi-automatic rifle.:D

Hey yeah, RO2 has extremely rare weapons, so why not RS? ;)

(I hope RS does not get that tbh)

That weapon was not rare in the pacific war.

It was NONEXISTENT. That rifle was designed in 1945, after practically every major pacific battle, only several hundred were created, of those, about half were never assembled, and of those that were actually finished none of them every went to a single battle of the War, being withheld for the feared allied invasion of Japan, which of course never happened.

When I put this in the forum what I meant to say was that it is rare to see an original even today, but it was nonexistant in the Pacific Campaign.

Well the MKb42 was also nonexistant in the battle of Stalingrad but yet, they are everywhere in RO2, even the Russians have them.

So you can be sure that half the jap team will have the type 5 along with jam free types 100 smg

And, as we all know, the Mkb 42 was loved by the community and widely accepted. It was clearly well received in the base game.

Spoiler alert: it wasn't.

Well given Classic Mode's warm reception so far, I'm guessing that it's fairly likely that Rising Storm will come up with something similar. I can easily tolerate giving the Japanese one Type 100 SMG. Given it's underpowered round, it's not much of a help to the Japanese in close quarters, but having just one on the Japanese side should make trench clearing just a little less one-sided (don't get me wrong--it should be very, very one-sided).

No Type 5 though, please...
