Heroes and Generals: Free to play.
Who tried it?
Is the wargame part interesting for Red?
Is the FPS part interesting for a Red freak?

I'm in since alpha.
Alpha started good and I thought that it will get quite good.
However I tried it every few months since then and the developer makes a huge mistake, the game is still extreme buggy, pay to win, unbalanced and they constantly add new stuff instead of fixing existing content.

FPS part is unrealistic, historical inaccurate and pay to win or at least pay for fun in my opinion.

Strategy part was really good in alpha and early beta stage, now it's hard to get started without paying money for the game.

I tried hero's and generals. Blitz. Bob is right. It's buggy to the point its unplayable.

What can I say....just don't waste your time downloading this.
This is a game for Iphone...or Ipad....I mean this is really really bad.

I played it a long time ago, it didn't seem that bad. It seems to be getting a lot of polish as of late and there is a lot of cool ideas not seen since ww2 online. I wouldn't write it off yet, just wait for more polish.

Its free. The biggest drawback is the lengthy wait to get into a game. Think "World of Tanks" with regards to level ups, buy ups, etc. What little I've played has been with no teamwork whatsoever. Just a bunch of Rambo's running around killing the enemy. Might have potential in a private server setting.......but that's not gonna happen.

Well, once you get out of Tier 1 (training missions only) what a big difference it is in Tier 2. Huge maps, longer battles, a good portion of the players seem to play like a team.

If you can ignore buying things, its pretty decent for free. Not ideal of course, but tons of weapons and vehicles. I mean practically everything.

I'm currently rank 11, almost at 12, I am patient player who buys his weapons with money earned for playing. Sure it takes a longer time to get to all the weapons like PPSh41, MG42, Karabiner98k, but hey, it's fun and feels good to know that I achieved these weapons myself and didn't buy them.
The maps are indeed incredibly huge, I assume that is needed to allow airplanes.
The thing I really love is I can see my entire body and I'm not just a weapon and two hands hovering through the level.
