i searched around for a good while, finding stuff not on the Forums and also finding a Thread saying it should have been fixed some time ago (http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=111726).

however, despite, it doesn't feel like my setting override is applying even though the game recognizes that i've done it.

file isn't being reset, good good...

game recognizes that i've changed that, says it's overridden...

(forgot to take screenshots today) but i definitely don't notice a difference. an area that a wave or two before had half a wave Killed at a time, later on was empty when i came back.
tommorow i might make the number crazy high and see if i can still not notice a difference, but all i know is as far as i can tell the override isn't working. for me. no logical reason it wouldn't be that i can think of though.

It definitely works for me. I recently got a new processor and decided to crank that number up. My frames dropped pretty quickly playing a berserker and just swinging away at zeds in a single room. Not to mention I couldn't see the floor. :D

But yeah if you don't go to an area of the map for awhile, bodies will disappear.

>:c
well that would explain it - and i don't really like that.
IMO the limit should be mapwide, deleting by age as usual.

you can not draw bodies that are far away like games do with most visuals in the first place, and then there's a nominal Performance change from doing it.
