Darkest Hour: Normandy 1944

A few weeks ago, we told you about the parachutes that are soon to come. We are pleased to announce that that is not all that is on its way. Since that announcement, our developers have been hard at work smoothing out every last kink we can for this release to ensure that the new version of Darkest Hour will provide a seamless new dose of possibility for all of our players.
What we didn't mention before is that we are throwing in a couple bonuses. Darkest Hour will now include German Fallschirmj

I'm quite happy to tell you I'm over 1000% satisfied with your Fallschirmjager models but one question, do the Fallschirmjagers have the entrenchment spade rendered on their uniforms ?

Are they really that important to you? Its a spade.... lets not get ahead of ourselves. Its not exactly the difference between DH being an epic failure and a masterpiece.

btw, what game is that?

i don't think our FJ's have spades, im not sure if they had any in real life. those things would break your spine if you fall the wrong way with your shute.

anyway the patch is normally planned for this week, so reserve your weekend to play DH non stop!!
make sure you read the changelog, many subtile little changes you don't always notice in game, but who can be a great advantage to those who use them well.

kingtiger isn't finished 100% yet, and the team is working verry hard on getting the jagdpanther ready for this patch. but it will be an extremely close call, so don't expect anything before you see it!

What about the late Fallschirmjager units ? The ones that didn't parachute due to heavy losses and only restricted to ground infantry role, wouldn't they be issued with the spades then ? Anyway I can't wait for next week and looking forward to the update.

That is the question a lot of you have been asking lately. We had originally promised to put out a patch in the first weeks of September that would include our new parachute system. However as the release date drew near we decided that with our relatively small community it would be better for us to keep releasing in larger content patches instead of small chunks. This allows us to avoid confusion and version mismatches.

With that said then we are pleased to announce that the new Darkest Hour patch has grown in size and complexity to such an extent that it will now be known as Beta 2.0 instead of 1.2 (as originally planned).

As promised we are going to deliver the Parachute system, new weapons, player models, maps, tanks and most important overhauls to both the Tank and Anti-tank systems in game. We can assure you this new DH patch was worth the wait but in the mean time please content yourselves with some new video showing our latest tanks the Jagdpanther and Cromwell being tested in game.

Exact details on the release will be announced shortly so stayed tuned and we hope to see you on the battlefield very soon.
