CTD's, GPF's, Critical Errors etc...any fixes coming up?

Now that the free-trial is over, you guys at Tripwire should have plenty of error-reports and log-files to have a go with.

I had many issues with ROOst...GPF's, CTD's, BSoD's, lockups, and even an occasional spontaneous reboot.
I posted some GPF's as requested.

I did all of the tweaks and recommendations I could find overhere, and managed to reduce the amount of issues to a few/evening...getting the latest DirectX (August '06) gave the best improvement.

I'm wondering...is Tripwire getting anywhere with all the information?
Have you discovered a pattern?
Can we look forward to an update, to cope with these issues soon?

ROOst is sortof playable and enjoyable for me right now, but the issues prevent me from starting to look around for any tournaments, for example.

The majority of GPF's are from missing/corrupt info.

Can this missing info also be data that you as client should have received from the server, or what you shoud have send?
Or is it restriced to my PC alone?

It is local. Most GPF's are the result of Accessed Nones. Which is your computer going to retrieve a script or animation or model that is called for and not finding it.

For some of the other GPF's out there and other crashes we are looking into their causes.

What if I enable all precaching again?
I didn't disable it to decrease loading times, but took it as a general advice.
If what is called for, is precached, would it make a difference?

Yoshiro, do you have any news about fixes eventually coming up?
Reinstalling, and running defaults on all caching hasn't fixed my problems.

In fact, I've quit playing ROOST for now.

I have a fresh install on my computer, from Windows up and have not applied any of the Tweaks and the game is running very well thank you.

I suggest applying the Tweaks only if you have map loading, or timing out problems, which are in most cases due to limited ram.

amd 3000+ 1.25 gig ram, 6600 GT.

I did apply the tweaks when I had 512 ram and they helped quite a lot, so the Tweaks are recommended if that is your case.

Cleaning out my PCthe other day actually helped get rid of a fair few lockups and spontanios reboots. My CPU and GPU heatsinks had soo much crap collected in them that the fans could barely do anything to keep them cool.

What are the errors you're getting anywya?

I've had pretty much every error that came up during the free-trial week. and posted some log-reports etc.
Sure I did all the tweaks I could find and remember (from the mod/UT2004).

But I ordered a Radeon X850XT AGP, to replace my aging 9800Pro...hope it fixes some problems.
