Can you still hip-fire LMGs?

While I may have had doubts initially, the video evidence posted completely changed my mind. If it was in fact that easy to do, then yes, I think the MGs should be firable from the hip without insane recoil and shouldered as well.
This could be the Germans' counter to PPSh drum mags, once everyone unlocks them.

Yes versus a rifleman he will have an edge ifit is relatively close, however now the whole team is at a disadvantage by the lack of a dedicated machine gunner suppressing and covering.

So I agree, if it is easily to do irl, then it should be in-game.

personally i've seen in videos german shooting with MG34 grabbing it from the barrel... bad idea i guess
