Has anyone else been following this? It was suppose to be out this year, but they decided to hold off until early 2011 to include a hardcore mode. The developers where the ones working on Six Days in Fallujah, which was "abandoned to mass amounts of controversy".

For the xbox360 and PC for $20.

go by the website and give it a look, i did and while it seems interesting it also shows its true colours under more scrutiny.

A: it should take more then one or two bullets to shoot out a wooden pillar. mythbusters shooting down a tree anyone?
B: like all games with destruction, its over done, everything falls appart like a house of matches.
C: xhairs? in a "sim" pff.
D: 3rd person cover system

looks nice, but yea, xhairs and 3rd person cover seems a bit weird for a sim. RO HOS isn't a sim and even that won't have 3rd person cover, let alone xhairs.

Gameplay wise it does not look tactical at all. So I don't see how it can be a simulator.

It doesn't look too bad - looks like Rainbow 6 Vegas mixed with BF BC2.

So while I don't think it will be awful, it will be rather generic and plain like the two games mentioned above.

And for some reason, it does remind me of CS:S... even though it doesn't look like it at all to me.

I agree that the damage system looks pretty bad like BF BC2.

Assuming it comes out for PC and is moddable, it might have some potential if the cover system can be removed, the damage effects reduced or removed, and make the essential tweaks to the weapons and movement.

I remember this game from a while back, especially this over jealous military guy showcasing it and explaining how things that you would do normally in every game are actual military tactics in their game or something like that. And pretty much the whole level seems like it is designed to be destroyable in a way that will easily kill you (like destroying the supporting wood).

In the end, it seems like they developed a good feature, destructibility, and then heavily focused on that, making maps full of weak buildings and landscapes that you see in UT2k4...

It's nice to see their name spread to consoles. :IS2: I do hope it has a little TWI polish thrown onto it, though. Isn't TWI also publishing Dwarves and they already published some other indie title, didn't they? (I don't mean The Ball)
