Just stick to your perk's job. I never had any problems with the welding points. I clearly remember a game on suicidal where i got from 1.2m to 1.4m. An average game on Suicidal is like 70 minutes. But i was level 6 so thats maybe why i made more than 100k of WP. Anyway, just play. Getting to 5.5m damage points should really be the hard part, but i guess this depends on the player.
