Competitive teams (found on ro2arena.com) are the right choice if you are looking for clan vs clan matches and if you are ready to play against good players only. Just remember that many competitive teams are recruiting only the best players with suitable attitude or are not recruiting at all.
Realism units are the right choice if you are looking for "chain-of-command" stuff and military type approach to the game. Just remember that realism units are not playing against competitive teams and most of their action is internal.
Casual clans are the right choice if you want to come and go as you please and don't want to commit yourself to any schedules.
3D (Russia)
FH (EU, mainly Finland)
FR (Brazil)
IDF (Germany)
Liga (Russia)
MeoW (Germany)
PB (Russia)
PRKL (Finland)
RRc (EU)
Union (Russia)
I don't know if any of these are recruiting, maybe not. But if someone asks, they MAY give you a chance for try-out and if you are really good, you may have a chance to get in
nemo, have you given RO2Arena a try? Plenty of teams and clans on there to choose from and with a little homework you can find ways to contact any one of them. It's the last bastion of competitive gaming in Red Orchestra 2.
But If you're looking for casual clans, you're better off looking for a community to be a part of instead. There are little to no requirements for membership for them in most cases and be can be good fun to participate with (i.e. Aussie/NZ, Banzai, Bloodbath, etc.)
