I enabled the checkbox for admin pausing for my servers but in game it won't let me pause even when I press the PAUSE key. Why include a feature if it doesn't work? Or is it bugged?

I believe it was simply an oversight. It is a left over from Unreal Tournament 2004 that should have been removed.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you press ~ (which opens up the console) then type in "pause" without the quotation marks, it should pause the game.

I just tested this in my own server. Opening ` console and typing pause DOES NOT work. It does the exact same thing as the pause button: absolutely nothing. Quite appalling, but I guess Xienen is right, the admin pause feature does not work in KF. I hope that a future patch will fix this.

It does work, you just haven't set it up properly. You need to have Allow admin pausing enabled, and log in as admin during the game.
I've just tried it again today in-game and the pause button does actually work for me.

Works like a charm on my own server.
- Enable it on the web admin
- restart the map/server
- join the server
- login as an admin in-game
- press PAUSE or type pause in the console

I did all of those steps except #4, I don't know how to log in as admin in game (but my ping is 0 because I'm host). When I set up the server I ticked the box that says allow admin pausing, then type in admin email and password. Then when I click LISTEN and start the game and open console to type pause, NOTHING happens.

I tried everything that have been posted there: enabled admin pause, logged in with console command, and tried typing pause or admin pause, it does not work for shure. Steam version, 2023. Any ideas?..

upd: I find the solution, in the "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KillingFloor\System" folder you need to find "KillingFloor.ini", then search for line "bAdminCanPause=False" and change it for "True".
