about WW2 weaponry in RS2

the viet kong and south Vietnamese historically used a lot of surplus weaponry. For example the South Vietnamese often used the M1 Carbine and M1 Garand. The German Kar98k and Japanese Arisaka Type 38 were used by north vietnamese as well. Even the Springfield M1903A4 sniper was used by the USMC for a small time.

will we see any of this?

There will be a couple of WW2 weapons included at release, but not a huge number.

They can't win either way.

If they don't put in lots of WW2 weapons People will complain about the lack of guns and how silly they were to not use RO2/RS assets in RS2.

If AMG does add in lots of WW2 weapons people will accuse them of being lazy reusing all those weapons from the older games.
