Over 10 new maps and increased player limits for Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45!

This week we can tell you about a big update coming soon for Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. The first part is a new community map-pack for the game, including over ten new maps. The map-pack showcases the best maps submitted for the recent RO mapping contest polished up for release through Steam in a few weeks time.

The practical limit with high end server hardware looks like it is going to be about 50 players for all maps (up to 56-60 possibly for some infantry maps). But even that is really intense. A beta version of the code is running on The Wild Bunch server.

I can't wait. Even though I doubt my PC or net (except on Aussie servers) could handle a full 64-player server, that's awesome news.

Though I doubt any of my fellow crazed server owner/admins would bother to read or heed, will there be any sort of guidelines given for server hardware vs. player limits? "really powerful" lends itself to subjectivity
