I dont know what they exactly mean but they indicate how "paranoid"/trigger happy PB is. Higher levels mean better protection but will result in higher false positives. Medium is the recommended setting as it provides good protection without false positives. High is meant to provide absolute protection and will block a lot of things.

High is the best level to use for the sake of security. We have never experienced a false positive using high - we have however, caught legit "punks" cheating. PB/PBBans works and works well.

Any kind of "relaxed" setting encourages transgressions.

Works great every time I've used it.

You don't need to make a new web admin, just the java script setup your "webadminloginname"colon"password". Its explained pretty well.

Like Mike says, a properly configured punkbuster server doesn't lag the server. The configs may need to be tweaked. Just like the rogame.ini file for RO/RS needs to be tweaked for the admin's preference. Not taking the time to learn and tweak is just admin laziness, imho.

We still need more people to start streaming their servers to PBBans.

PBBans just caught 55 minutes ago a cheater through PB ScreenShots:

People using cheats like these that cannot be caught through VAC or PB otherwise can be caught through screenshots by PB, if you just stream your servers to PBBans.

I see that the latest bans for RO2 over at pbbans are speed hack..
i bet for 99.9% that those are no hackers at all.
just too high PB level caused some probably innocent ppl to get banned because of the famous "speed hack detected" server lag bs.

and btw.
the only waay you can fight cheaters in UT3 based games is to have active server admins, checking regulary.
anything else is windmill fighting
