Killing Floor Perks not leveling up

Basically, about a month ago killing floor ceased to level up my perks. As a consequence of this, i stopped playing killing floor (after contacting steam customer service and finding they were useless ><). Now im playing it again, and the perk still hasnt gone away. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so, how'd you solve it?

Please help, i do really enjoy killing floor.

Wow, i think they gave you a broken game and they are not trying to replace it. You playing on the core maps?

Have you tried reinstalling? Sometimes KF gets some bugged files that completely disallow leveling of perks. I got that once, I think, and I just reinstalled it.

reinstall with another steam content server selected. try seattle.

some of the steam servers have been known to host corrupted KF files which can disable perk leveling

and delete the entire kf folder and run a registry cleaner before you reinstall
