Being a medic in KF isn't the most rewarding class, as a matter of fact I'm going to call it the least rewarding class. You will have the least kills at the end of the game, and you probably wont be the most important person on the team - a good team can survive fine without a medic. Here are a few tips for any medics that, I guess, just want to do better.

First off the leveling guide:

- Level 1 -
To get to level one, play any other class and just heal some of your teammates when they need it. You should be doing this anyways, do level one is easy.

- Level 2 -
For level 2, still play any other class and heal teammates. This time be a little more aggressive about it though. You could tell the people you are playing with that you are trying to level medic, and they should let you do most of the healing.

- Level 3 -
From here you can be the medic class, only because the amount of healing points it harder to get without the increased syringe recharge and increased healing. Plus this is where speed actually kicks in so it is easier to run back and forth between people.
The best way to level is just to be more of a dedicated healer than anything else. Go into a noob server where people are getting hurt a lot and just heal them (only shoot if necessary).

- Level 4 -
Getting to level 4 is a *****, I'm not gunna lie. The best way to do it in my opinion is to just play as a medic and have fun with the game. Heal when you have to, but do a lot of shooting as well. If you want this level fast and arr okay with a little "cheating", then the best way to do it is have a friend as berserker play with you in normal, and in the first wave just let a clot keep hitting him and you keep healing him.

- Level 5 -
I'm not even here yet, so I really know that this one is basically impossible. **EDIT**I'm there now, finally. It was a long and hard journey**/EDIT** You may look at it and say "berserker has so much more damage to do!" Well, damage and healing are different. In comparison the 25,000 that you have to heal is a little bit less then the damage a berserker would have to do, but still hard to get.
The way I'm currently getting it is like level 4, just play the game and wait for it to happen and it is boooring. Level 5 is a little too much to just have you "cheat" for - you could cheat in intervals, or try joining a noob server. Basically to get this do whatever you can to level!

Next up is playing guide:

A lot of how you play is map based, team based, and personality based. If you can go an entire game doing nothing but healing without getting bored, good for you! I can't. If you team needs more of an offensive player than a medic, you need to play differently. Don't follow what I'm about to say word for word, make sure to adapt.

In my opinion, the best thing a medic can do is kill all the annoying specimen when they come up. Clots that get too close, Crawlers wherever they are, Stalkers unless there is a good commando on your team, and of course sirens! I left out fleshpounds and skrakes for a reason - it depends on what weapon you want to use. I'll leave a list of suggested weapons below, and if you use a more powerful one feel free to shoot them. I prefer the dual 9mm out of everything lol, which means I'm useless so I tend to try and heal whoever gets hit - it truly saves lives more than you'd expect

When traveling with your team you are going to be faster, even with some heavy weapons equipped you will be able to run out ahead, but that's not always what you want to do! Once again it depends on the situation, but this is the way I see it: If you are going through a straight or mostly straight hallway or street or whatever, you should stay a bit behind, even though you're faster. It is really annoying to stop and go, but tit will benefit your team more because everyone can see what is coming up ahead if it is straight, but no one watches behind - so that's your job! On the other hand, if there are a lot of turns and stuff, you should speed ahead, but not too much. The reasoning is that people will be looking out more because they don't know whats ahead, so they will also think to look behind them. Plus, you have that extra armor remember? So if something pops out from a corner, your better fit to take the damage!

Lastly a weapon guide:

I'm going to break this down into the weapons you should and can get, and then for each wave (on long) what you can or should do for weapons.

Basic weapon list:
-Knife (don't be afraid to use this)
-Dual 9mm (quick and simple - they work)
-Bulpup (basically a faster 9mm lol)
-Shotgun (everyone's fav)
**EDIT** The AK47 is amazing, get it! **/EDIT**

Advanced weapon list:
-Flamethrower (not for all situations - be careful)
-Hunting shotgun (I hate it but works for some)

Now I skipped a lot of weapons, and if you want one feel free to get it, I just don't recommend it. I will say though: NEVER GET THE LAW IT IS TERRIBLE AND NOT FOR A MEDIC EVEN IF YOU WANT THE ACHIEVEMENT. Also remember to adapt to your situation if you want a different weapon like the crossbow because the map is long and open, go for it!

- Wave 1 -
You can't but things lol, but remember to knife, Knife, Knife. This does depend on the difficulty, if a bloat or a gorefast comes you can shoot them. Just remember that you are faster than everyone else so you can save ammo by knifing and still getting a lot of kills.

- Wave 2 -
*Note* This is a great spot to change class. The medic gets a lot of kills in wave 1, but that's where it ends. Those kills should easily give you enough money to buy the special weapon for any class though.
If you remain medic but combat armor (nice and cheap) and dual 9mm. Give the rest of your money away.

- Wave 3 -
Update your combat armor if necessary, depending on your money but either the bulpub or shotgun, you can sell the 9mm if you want. If you barely have enough to buy a new gun, just give half your money away. If you buy it, give whatever you have left away. As medic it is your job to help your team, so you will be the main money giver.

- Wave 4 -
Now you will definitely have enough to get a shotgun or bulpup if you didn't before. Update your combat armor. If you are good you'll have enough for a special weapon, but don't get it - give the money away.

- Wave 5 -
*Note* Another good time to change class, make sure you buy combat armor first though so that way it will be cheap.
If you stay medic get combat armor. If you want a specialty weapon get one, it couldn't hurt. I recommend the Hunting shotgun far more than the flamethrower because the flame can hurt you and is meant for specialized circumstances. Give the rest away.

- Wave 6 -
*Note* I now recommend changing classes. Harder **** keeps coming and a medic doesn't do a whole lot of damage.
If you stay medic get combat armor again lol, and if you haven't yet, get the specialized weapon. Give the rest away.

- From wave 7 on -
Change weapons if you want, get combat armor, buy ammo, give the rest away. At this point though most people will have an excess of money.
