Zed-time "adrenaline" shot

Most people don't care enough about zed time to bother with adding the mutator to their servers.
If most people don't care enough about it, then nobody will complain, right? I mean.....the solution is right there if they want it that badly, so roll on the triggered ZED time.
The only thing that frustrates me about zed time is when a zerker or commando spams it when you're trying to get somewhere, or reloading, then it gets annoying.
If it were you in their position, would you just sit there and die or run away? No, you'd utilise your abilities to take more ZEDs out.

Regardless, whether you think zed time is annoying or not, purposefully induced zed time would either be OP or exploitable by griefers. Zed time should remain random. That's all there is to it.

Maybe one single 15 seconds, un-extendable zed time, no more.
The screen could also tint slightly red to illustrate that this isn't a normal one.

Meh.
This game doesn't really need something like that though.

True, but I'm pretty sure if you made it really short or really expensive or something, it might work. Certainly some bugs in the design that need ironing out.

I don't really see how it can be griefed if only one member of the team can carry it, and they only get say 1 for up to 5 seconds. Could also add in a cool down timer so it can't be bought, used then bought again and used immediately again. As for overpowered, in alien swarm 4 players can each bring 3 adrenaline slomo shots that lasts about 8 seconds each but it doesn't win games (unless its on normal/hard in which case I can solo easy with flamer + chainsaw), so one adren shot that lasts 5 seconds with a 60 second cooldown that can only be brought by medics and only one member of the team is not game breaking in the least.

How about if Medic has a 1 "Zed-time" dart which also heals like normal heal darts. Only 1 dart available each wave for medic. When you shoot healing zed dart it trigger zed time, and medic can shoot up to three healing dart in that Medic caused zed time.

Need to be less than 50% health (critical) to trigger Medic"Zed-time". If you shoot zed dart to over 50% health player, it dont trigger and dart is wasted. And if you miss shoot, dart is wasted.

EDIT: Or it only triggers when less than 25% health left. So this would be for those situations, when everything is messed up and nearly all hope is gone.

Even if it was limited to such a case, do we really need it?

Zed time is fine the way it is. If we are able to self-induce it then wouldn't it the game even be MORE less challenging? Later waves wouldn't be a problem with an activate-able zed time.

If 4 Fps come outta no-where, THAT, is the challenge of the later waves....now with such a thing such as self induced zed time....no worries, no need to panic, just pop that **** and we're fine. Its not like fps are hard to aim at as sharpshooters, and as other perks, they have their own way of taking bigger specimens down.

Now, talking about patty, hell man, it WILL become much more easier. All medics with "poppable zed time" with xbows? even if it was limited to 1 medic, don't ya think patty will become less of a threat?


I don't mind self induced zed time, but i just don't see why we would need it. Zed time is fine the way it is. If tripwire could modify zed movement in such a way that its actually "Hard" to aim at zeds, then im all up for it.

Just nerf the damage multiplier for the xbow to the head and EBR's spammability. Oh while we're at the topic of EBR nerf, i say make it shoot the same speed as a lever action rifle's fastest shooting speed (lvl 6 spamming the mouse button) and have the same damage as a lever action rifle, that way the ebr would be just lilke a lever action rifle except it doesnt require the slow "shotgun" type reload

I don't hate the EBR :/ SS is one of my fav classes, and I love the lever action rifle (which is perfectly balanced), so instead of the overnerfing suggestions other EBR threads have been about, making the EBR do the same damage and speed as the lever action woudl be perfect.

If i had a GIF of darth vader in his NOOOOOOOOOO! sequence i would use that to express my sorrow that this will turn into an EBR hate thread.
