[Game] "Your Steam ticket has expired" ? Help

I reformatted my hard drive, and reinstalled XP. I downloaded Steam and began downloading my games. Every five minutes or so it pops up a message:

"Your Steam ticket has expired. Please re-enter your password"

What the heck is going on? It keeps interrupting my installs and I have to start over.

You typically just have to log out of Steam (File > Change user...) and then restart Steam and log back in.

If that doesn't work, exit steam and delete the clientregistry.blob file in the Steam directory. Restart Steam, let it update, and that should work.

Every time it did it I re-entered my password, and it would pop up again a few minutes later asking me to re-enter it again.

I tried logging out, and logging in again with no effect. I'll delete that file and report back later.

Edit: It worked for awhile but when I logged in today it did it again.
