Lvl 10 Bedlam, im the only one left, upper floor by the big tree. Like 8 left to go, I just got done clearing myself out of a crowd, shotguns empty 2 stalkers come up. I back up and reload, as I shoot down at the stalker 1 pellet hits the pipe bomb. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I think this qualifies as an EPIC fail.
I was goofing off on a previous game and didn't pay attention to what I left my perk at.
I spawn the next game as a lvl 6 demo. Yeah, not my first choice so I changed right away on wave two.
So late game like wave 9 or 10 when stuff is crazy our SS is quite occupied on one hallway while I'm defending another. I'm about to lead the FP that spawned over towards the SS but I spot a couple pipes nearby (we've got a demo laying the typical minefield).
I walk right on top of the pipes then open fire on the FP to get him soft before he arrives (I figure he *might* get a raged hit in while the pipe proximity timer expires). We'll sure enough the pipes take him out just as he's standing in my face.
I'm slack jawed then cursing as I have no idea why I just blew up. Is friendly fire on? I wasn't throwing a grenade? WTF? Oh yeah...that's right those were my pipes from 9 waves ago, not the current demo.

I've actually never blown up from my own pipe, I don't use demo much since I got it to six, but I just remember to put them where I won't be lol.
Oh best one for me, was playing on Biolabs, Sharpie, covering a hallway with the xbow. A support was halfway down the hall, shooting something, I'm lined up on the husk coming down the stairs...and just as I take the shot, he put's his head in my scope...FF was on...*facepalm*

It was wave 10 on waterworks. I am last one, just 1 left, just killed the last FP, am running to the trader with 1 health left. am taking out syringe.... when a crawler falls from the celing, kills me in one hit right before I heal.

I'm messing around with my display settings. No one's in need of healing, everything's being kept reasonably at bay, my framerate's acting up I figure I could take a quick moment to change the colour depth or something.

I had one tonight actually. Me and a group of 5 others that are all in one big group was playing a game on Normal Long on the Doom 2 whitelisted version. No one is medic so I'm goin medic, and 4 of the 6 die super quick for some reason. Now it's me and a Commando with 120 left. We get through 118 of the 120, I'm almost dead but it's only a stalker and crawler left, and they are right in front of me side by side, so I figure I have enough hp left to switch to medic gun and take them both out with a quick spray, and it's faster than the crossbow and Pistol I have otherwise, and boom, empty clip, I die, we're wiped out.
I know Normal Long shouldn't be that hard but when it's 2 people for 120 specimens it's kinda annoying

Just 15 minutes ago we were playing some snow map based on RE (I was told by one of the guys), slow game and everything.
Wave 11 we had to walk very far to get to the trader and I didn't get a lot of time to plant pipebombs. Well the patty spawned like right around the corner in a cave. Super bad luck! One guy was standing within the patty's vision and he got chaingunned to dead. I turn around and heard, "One in the pie!" and knew what was coming, so I pulled out my AA12 and it was empty. Oh shi. As I was reloading he shot a missile which didn't hit me, the guy in front of me, or the guys behind me. It hit the ground. And my pipebombs were on the ground too, and I would join them because that rocket blew up my darn pipebombs and I was dead.
And that's how the patty killed 2 people in isolated instances in 5 seconds.

Playing wave ten, expend all ammo, late to trader, empty xbow, unresponsive ammo fill button, pat spawns right next to us and rockets 3 of us.

Haven't seen this thread in a while, and figured I would bump it with one from today. Playing Doom with 6 people on a suicidal server, I'm Support and running crowd control on long hallway, while sharpie is shooting over my head at big stuff. We get down to like 25 specimens left when 2 Fleshpounds hit and take me out, well the other team members get the flesh pounds down only to get raped by some Sirens and husks. 15 left and we get wiped out on wave 10. That's not the worst of it.
Next game we try it again, this time I'm goin supoort again almost all game to do crowd control, we get through 9 waves easy, wave 10 hits and we're going good, 20 specimens left and 2 fleshpounds hit. I use my last ammo to take one and die, a sharpie gets one and dies, and we're down to 8 specimen left. We have a weak commando (level 4 and not very good said he was new to suicidal) and a person working their firebug up from level 3 (he has 2nd highest kills with well over 500) and a Demo low on ammo. Getting launched outside from office's 3rd floor by Patriarch when he would've died from 1-2 shots as my scar mag ran out of bullet and I was last man standing.
It'd be epic to be in the parking lot looking up to see in zed-time to see someone flying backwards out the upper windows from the hit firing at the patriach who's still inside as they fall (hopefully killing him just before they hit the ground, taking him with them)
Would be funny to see someone fire a last ditch LAW shot for the win on the way down
