Generally the idiots that are racist and mock Euros are scorned by the more mature Americans. You most likely find the 15-16 year olds. They can be kinda stupid..

Kinda off topic but I get a little tired of the Americans' voices in this game.

To be honest all 15-25 Americans sound the same to me, as in your typical scrawny nerd with the whiny voice, I could be hearing 3-6 of them going at once and I can barely tell whos who, it's kinda funny. When I join an Euro server the difference is just remarkable, people actually sound like adults and the voices aren't high pitched, they're pretty soothing in fact, even when some of them have odd accents(as I do).

I don't know, I've been getting kind of tired of the nerdy high pitched voices, the European servers are pretty good in this regard, because you have people of many nationalities and accents all talking and it's a welcome change.

The other thing, the only people I notice being racist/idiots on voip so far have been the Americans, imitating others accents or making fun of Euros or whatever. Thankfully it has only happened to me once, but still, it doesn't help to remove the anti-American sentiments a lot of Euros seem to have.

But seriously, awesome stereotyping there. You forgot to mention pickup trucks and shotguns.

I don't have a problem with kids playing (being a ripe old 14 myself ) as long as they keep it on-topic... as in like, you know, the game at hand.

I wasn't exactly "making fun" of them, just mentioning a few things. As I said, they are the only ones behaving "annoyingly" over vo-ip, and as the other guy said I'm more often than not a target of insults and stereotyping just by my mere nationality, I should be able to complain.

Just saying, no intention of stirring up the pot, Americans are great guys generally, just that I've seen quite a few bad apples in this game.

To get the thread back on subject.About two weeks ago i was playing on hedgehog mab,and there was this kid who wouldnt shut up.He had to be around twelve.Everyone tryed to be nice to him,but he just would'nt shut up.Very annoying,but it was the only time.Im guessing the fact that i always play late at night.Means I encounter a more mature pool of players.

I've had a fairly positive experience with most younger players... it's just always a little incongruous to hear a kid's voice when you're in the middle of a massive firefight (so to speak, lol). But as long as they play and contribute, who cares?

Yeah I guess most younger kids are just like that. I'm only 16, but some of those younger kids (13 under mostly) just get ridiculous.

I know it's been mentioned is this thread before but...

If people are annoying you over VOIP, you can simply ignore them via the communications tab in the game controls panel. Simply hit ESC while you are in the game, choose configure controls, select communications, choose the person you want to ignore, then select the aplicable options.

This will solve any problems you have with people you don't want to hear. They'll still act like idiots, but at least you won't have to hear it.

Aside from that, you can also access the Kick Voting option via the configuration menu. This might help you remove people who continue to act like idiots (in other ways than talking).

Best solution: stick to servers with admins. Like the Volks Hammer server

i see no sense in posting this, dont want to flame, i see your frustration. But you shoud let your self be bothered from them. Ro = just game, stupid players = nothing to take care about

and believe me ... when you ever played Tactical Ops or DoD (with the new versions and Source) you will notice that Ro, is when it comes to the maturity from the playerbase, heaven.

My pet peeve with VOIP are the little kids that like to play recordings of the old hitler rallies with people shouting zighiel <spelling?>. Then there are the SS fanboyz. And the online hitler youth. And the Nazi counsel of gamers. And generally people who think the third reicht was cool.

Don't get me wrong the German army was the German army, and someone has to play the Germans. But the German army was a Nazi army and I don't like Nazi's like I don't like the KKK or peckerwoods. Nor do I really like people who idolize or fantasize about the nazi's or nazi idealism, especially those who really dig the SS.

If nothing else it makes playing Ruskies all the more satisfying. Nothing more satisfying than plugging a nazi.

I hate how people think that everyone in the German Army was a Nazi. Kinda like how all the Americans in Iraq are Republicans. Yes there were a lot of Nazis in the German Army, but nowhere close to all of them. If you're fed propaganda and led into thinking your side is right then you'll fight for your country no matter what political background you have.

On the topic of kids in this game just keep in mind that you were their age at one point in time too. Just imagine if RO was around back then you would probably want to play it and use VoIP as well. If they're really that annoying just ignore or mute them. It's really not that big of a deal or a reason to get upset about.

oooooohhhhh those ******** piss me off ... , i had one sob on arad that played voice from a hitler rally FOR THE ENTIRE GAME. finally i just told everyone to squelch him as he wouldent stop when told.

yeah i remember that diamond, i dident know you were in the server there. an yeah he did really get annoying after blabbering alot of that unimportant information(and the little twirp had our sniper rifle aswell?!!). yeah that was a real kicker there in the tower, .. i died with 15 seconds left or so defending the tower, then the russians just rushed in there. that was a good game though there...
