So you call this sight adjustment? This is NO sight adjustment just the whole weapon moves up or down
It is only realistic in sniper SCOPE but in other weapons is NOt realistic
Sight adjustment is not moving the WHOLE weapon up or down it is aout adjusting the sight itself so that you DONT have to move the weapon itself to compensate for drop (or wind when using scopes)

Do you agree?

I disagree :) Iron sight adjustment is more about rotating the weapon and adjusting the rear leaf site. But yes we also move the weapon up and down to keep your eye alignment with the ironsights centered properly.

Actually if you look at the gun when holding it but not looking down the sites, you can see the sites have actually been adjusted. When sites are ranged for long distance then the gun is indeed at an upwards angle. If you just adjust the sites while looking down the sites it appears that the gun is just being angled upwards but the sites are indeed being moved.

You won't believe me, but adjusting the sight itself results to holding your weapon from a different angle.
But there is no "hands on leaf sight" animation which sad.

Adjust your sights on your iron sights of a G41, etc. You will see the leaf sight raises and lowers when looking at hip. Attention to detail.

What in the hay are you talking about? you do know that a Rifle is pretty much like an artillery weapon? bullet drop?

What RO2 has for adjustable sights is the EXACT same thing as the one IRL. You adjust the sights, line them up...and you find out your weapon is at a diffrent angle

Yeah because that is soooo important. I ******* hate teenagers.

No, but because any change in the metal parts involves participation of hands. So it's "sad" and not a "omg ******* laaame!!!"

Umm.. have you ever actually done it on a real rifle? Don't you think it might be a bit silly to comment on it, if you haven't? It seems pretty obvious to me that you haven't.

Yes, it is. It is more immersive if things in the game world appear to be carried out by a game character, rather than magically happening by themselves.

I still hate it that the weapon disappears when you change to another weapon. If you have a massive AT rifle, you can't just throw it over your shoulder and run around with a pistol, and it especially doesn't just disappear.

To me, if you want to use any weapon other than the AT rifle, you should have to drop it first, then pick it up when you're done.

It's the little things that cause "uncanny valley", not the big things.

In fact, the barrel is NEVER pointing at where the sight is pointing. That's why you have a sight. The sight is calibrated to point at the exact spot the bullet will hit at the range set on the sight. The bullet won't be at the same height as the line of sight until just before impact.

This is what causes most intermediate range misses. Your sight isn't set to the correct range, but you aim straight at the target, so the bullet either drops short, or flies over the target, even if you are aiming at his heart.

It looks kind of funny since it keeps you looking straight down the sights, whereas IRL you would change the sight and then adjust the gun but it's not "wrong". I think they need to eventually put in an animation and slight delay when you adjust them.

No, don't agree at all. You are wrong. When you hold a rifle and look down the sights and then adjust for longer range shooting, you are keeping the sights in a straight line from your eye to the target. What really moves in relation to this straight line is the gun, the barrel rotates upwards for longer range shooting. This is the way they work in real life and if you hold a K98 or a Mosin Nagant and set for 800 metres or so you notice the rifle has "moved" quite a bit from the 100 metre setting, barrel upwards, stock downwards.
