He was apparently thrice elected deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR after the war. That's pretty neat, I guess.

Yes, he seems to have lived a full life after the war, that's a fitting end as you can ask for. I wonder if he has a bio somewhere, would be an interesting read.
