KF xp not saving properly? help please

i am having some trouble getting some of my xp points to save right ingame.
i am trying to find a effective way to grind damage xp for my commando perk.
so i tryed poundemouniam long,beginer,and it really work,by the time i was done i had racked up almost 200k damage xp,but when the game ended all my xp was reset to what it was when i had started! its very annoying and i want to know if anyone has any idea this happens,i did use a some mods to give me a bit of a boost,but i didnt think mods would do that,but if anyone knows for sure,it would love it if you would share

Use testmap and or leveling perky and go wild, just don't run any mutators. All maps are whitelisted, not all mutators are. Poundemonium is not.

What the hell, you don't know how to use the workshop? Just type it in the search bar, subscibe the map/skin whatever material you wish, then restart the Killing Floor.
Also, for your perks to be saved in multiplayer, server must allow that first. I don't wanna look like a chump but; I guess you can read if a server allows perk leveling or not, in small server info window at the bottom left in server list screen.

That's the reason why TWI removed that and the other official mutators from whitelisting :<

hey,so i am trying to use the test map now,but for some reason i get this stupid problem where steam workshop doesnt download stuff when i tell it too so i cant get the map,
any ideas on how to fix this?

i know,i know,i get the point ppl are pressing about the speed leveling and stuff,
but i really dont want to wait around and grind for a long time to level up my commando.
besides,i already have sharpshooter,support,and medic all at level 4,so i dont feel i am
missing out on the expierience of leginamitly gaining levels and the skill that comes with
them. but i do get the point behind it all.

Yes you do.
Leveling map are cancer, and people who plays on em are a pain in the *** when they come in REAL challenge.

My perks aren't leveling either. It was after I bought the DLC pack for halloween. It was the $20 pack with all the DLC discounted in it.

I've tried everything I could from checking the integrity of the game to disabling all the mods and mutators. Even running on single player. I'm afraid I'm permanently stuck at 29073 headshots with my sharp shooter. It seems like a futile goal to aim for 32000 headshots at this point. My progress always resets when I leave the game.

Getting a compound weapon won't get you an upperhand when you lack skill or experience. Don't use the map to cheat your whole way out, but ease the challenge.
If your perks around 3-4 on average, then start hanging around in Hard difficulty servers for a while. Doesn't matter if you boosted perks or not. Watch some video guides over the streaming sites, observe other players then head to the higher difficulties like Suicidal or Hell on Earth.

When I see a level6 player in Hell on Earth at least I trust them and give them money, then they pay me back by picking the worst possible hand-picked-by-newbies-for-us weapon, then hanging around and doing nothing against big targets when it's a due or handle them with the worst way ever you can imagine, kiting the horde on their tail onto you.

but i dont lack expeience or anything,i have close to 150 play hours and consider myself
fairly good at it,i can handle hard with a good team. i just want to level my perks a bit
faster is all,even if i do hit lvl 6 i wouldnt jump to suicidal or hell on earth and ways cus
thats asking for trouble. now i would appricaite a few more responses to this that are
trying to help rather than critisize me. thanks for the input anyways though.

No, you clearly don't understand the point everyone is making because if you truly do have 150 hours played and still haven't reached even one level five then you aren't grasping the concept of this game or how to properly play your perks. And you have to understand that a lot of the people who hang around the KF forums are pretty serious players with many over 1k hours. I myself have over 2k hours and it probably took 300 hours for me to get all level six the first time around.

Everyone has already told you all you need to know to cheat your way to level six. Do it if you must but don't expect an compassion or understanding here. If I meet you in a game I will make fun of you and laugh about how you are a test map level six like so many more out there. And if you are having steam issues take that up with them, your business here is done.

Any player can handle hard or suicidal with a good team. I played Sui with lvl 4s before and at lease got to wave 8. My commando and Zerk are only lvl 4 but I don't see a reason for me to grind it. They will get to lvl 6 when they want to.
(Thou personally, I rather keep my commando at 4 so I can pretend I'm a noob and join beginner )

If you are not downloading anything you subscribed, check to see how many items you have subbed to. Killing Floor can only have the max of 50 items subscribed at a time. Unsub any mods that have rarly been updated or never have been updated at all. Save mods to your favorites if they include a download link in there description. You know, just clean up what ever you think you don't need anymore. Check in KillingFloor.log also, I think it will say if there is a error in downloading a subscribed item.


But remember what we have told you, grinding is never the answer, in any game. It's not cool to have other people think you are actually a skilled player when you in fact just have a false badge, yatta yatta yatta...

Meh, do what you want. Levels don't matter in this game (or not as much as everyone craps on about them at least). If you are looking to level, just make sure that you play on a whitelisted dedicated server, as they tend to save stats correctly.

talking about (im using windows 8 and am still pretty new to it) and i also unsucscribed
from most of my mods and have only about 20 now but it still didnt work. any other
ideas? oh,and for some strange reason all my mods i unsucscribed from stuck around
in my single play menu afterwards,is that normal?

Killing Floor should be in something like
Program Files/Steam/Steamapp/common/KillingFloor/system
Log files can be opened up with any text based program like notepad. Copy and paste whatever it says in it in your post, but please use a spoiler as it will most likely be a long list of junk.

Of course that's normal, if you unsubscribe to a monthly magazine, do all your magazines randomly disappear from your house? If you don't want to see those magazines, your gonna have to pick them up and throw them away yourself.
