Last week, with great peril to myself, I managed to show the community a render of one of the upcoming Gunslinger weapons. This week the rest showed up in my inbox with instructions that I was not allowed into that side of the office anymore (something about my

Those handguns looks so badass! Can't wait to virtually hold them and pop some Zeds with them!

Never personally held a Deagle in my life (yet), but I think that the grip looks a bit slim compared to the slide of the model, and the sights look very slim too. Can somebody confirm/correct me?

Not sure how I feel about the flower effect on the 1911 and the words "1911" and "KF2", they look really tacky.

Heat staining on the ends of the guns feels a bit overkill too...

Is your weapon artist looking for general critique on the design of them? There's a lot I feel I could write down about it...

"ninja outfit" "not fit for work"? Are we talking unprofessional or inappropriate? :p

Independent flashlights sounds like a neat change. With it being a "body component" does that mean there'll be a flashlight strapped somewhere on each character? Might seem odd (or funny!) to see illumination coming from inexplicable points of origin elsewise.

The detailing on the handguns is quite nice, particularly the heat wear on the Desert Eagle. Someone in the office really likes engraving.

Well damn, I figured flashlights/torches would be a good counterbalance for some of the more overpowered guns.

What I'd like to know though is how you guys are making the game more difficult. Be it perk changes you're focusing on, zeds, and just making bottleneck and walk-in closet campsites less viable. Any info, even general, would be nice.

Thanks.

Very nice looking weapons! And my two most favorite pistols with that! Each one is perfect and very nice looking, can't wait to shoot with those shinies!

Two things though:

Firstly: 1911's and Desert Eagle are simple action handguns, are you gonna make them wielded with the hammers cocked? Cause they shouldn't be able to fire otherwise... it's something that always bothered me a little bit with the Desert Eagle in Killing Floor 1...may be a detail but it's the way you usually think about the details on your weapons that makes you one of the best gaming company when it comes to firearms...=)

Secondly: Love the fact that, for once, somebody did the old 1911 instead of the modern MEU version... or any of that kind. Have nothing agaisnt modern versions but I possess myself an "old" original Colt Government model series 70 and love the look of it! So Congrats to that!

Doesn't this flashlight thing trivialize the whole destructible light design philosophy?

There's a point where something that seems cool initially turns out to be quite tedious/annoying. We still have batteries on the lights though.

^ THIS!

(I would also like less bling on the 1911 tbh, otherwise great job as usual TWI :) )

I think that's what made Catacombs such a unique map to play.
In any case, if there'll be flashlights available for everyone regardless of the weapon they're using at the moment, they'll have to tweak Night Vision to make players able to disable NV on Commando and Berserker.
Having your NV turned on and then seeing 5 teammates popping flashlights on your face is a major hindrance.

Double-click your flashlight/night vision toggle, it'll swap to your weapon's flashlight

Awesome! I was hoping for the .500 to be a snub nose but for more power the longer barrel will make it have more velocity so that works.

I was hoping you guys would have hinted at what the gunslingers grenade is. Is it zed time whiskey? Or is it something else?

Also I love the engraving on the 1911! Very classy.

I am sold for the GS.
Can't wait to clean all the trash with these fine pistols

Something on that Desert Eagle doesn't look too appealing to me. I made some comparision shots.
Imho the savety handling mechanism needs some touch. Edged handles instead of a flat profile!

Spoiler!

The ability to use a flashlight with any weapon will make this game SOO much better. I was playing catacombs last night and we ended up using the C4's red lights all over the room we were holding in order to see. I mean with all lights being able to be destroyed a body flashlight is a MUST.. plus while running you can't see anything cause your flashlight on the gun is flopping all over the place. And really if gun flashlights are available in the killing floor world, why wouldn't body flashlights be? So happy to hear about this being implemented into kf2. <('.'<)

Oh yeah, something else I forgot to mention:
This flashlight update completely trivializes the night vision functionality, effectively replacing it.
Can we expect NV to be removed from the game?

Reminds me of how they ruined Doom 3 with the body mounted flashlight in the BFG Edition. But I suppose they need to try to appeal to a wide audience because of the PS4 version so maybe that is the reason.
